Explore the tidal marsh and ride the waves on a kayak at Jekyll Island.  There is not a better way to get closer to the birds, fish, and other coastal wildlife at Jekyll Island.  Quietly paddle and explore the beauty of Jekyll Island in its natural habitat. 
The Tidelands Nature Center provides guided tours that wander around the tidal marsh and Jekyll Creek.  Each tour is guided by an experience naturalist that is highly knowledgeable in kayaking and nature.  Canoes are available for self-guided tours on Rixen Pond. The Tideland Nature Center uses sea kayaks which are more maneuverable and stable than ordinary kayaks.
